Microapps: small custom tools that remove busywork
If your team does the same task on paper, in a spreadsheet or by re-typing it into another system, we can probably automate it. A microapp is a small, focused tool built around one process in your business. Microapps are included with our managed IT services.

Surrey runs on trucking, construction, manufacturing, farms, clinics and family businesses, and almost every one of them has a clipboard, a whiteboard or a spreadsheet that someone updates by hand. Those are the best microapps: small, boring, and used every day.
Microapps Surrey businesses actually use
Each one replaces paper, a spreadsheet or re-typing. None of them are flashy. All of them save time every single week.
Driver pre-trip inspections on the phone
Before: Paper inspection sheets go missing and defects get reported days late.
After: Drivers tap through a checklist with photos. Defects alert the shop instantly and every report is filed by unit and date.
Daily site reports
Before: Foremen fill out reports at night, if at all.
After: A two-minute phone form with photos, crew count and weather, saved to the job folder and emailed to the PM.
Downtime and scrap log
Before: Nobody really knows why a line was down on Tuesday.
After: Operators log a reason in two taps. You see the top causes every week.
Picker and crew tally
Before: Hand-written tallies and arguments at payday.
After: Supervisors record crates or hours per worker on a phone, totals feed payroll.
New patient intake
Before: Clipboards, scanning and retyping at the front desk.
After: Patients fill a secure form before the visit. Staff review it instead of retyping it.
Client document collection
Before: Chasing T4s, receipts and bank statements by email every spring.
After: Each client gets a checklist link. Uploads land in their folder and the checklist updates itself.
Client intake and conflict check form
Before: Intake notes scattered across email and paper.
After: One secure form captures the matter details and flags names for a conflict check.
Listing and closing checklist
Before: Tasks tracked in texts and sticky notes.
After: Every deal has a checklist your assistant and you both see, with due dates.
Digital vehicle inspection
Before: Technicians write notes that customers never see.
After: Techs take photos and tick items on a tablet. Customers get a clear report to approve work by text.
Stock count and reorder app
Before: Counting on paper and typing it in later.
After: Scan or tap counts on a phone. Reorder suggestions are ready for the buyer.
Food safety temperature logs
Before: Paper logs filled in at the end of the shift.
After: Staff log fridge and hot-holding temps on a tablet with reminders. Ready for the health inspector.
Receiving and damage reports
Before: Damage noted on paper and lost before the claim.
After: Scan the PO, snap photos, and a damage report goes to the carrier and the customer.
Volunteer sign-in and hours
Before: Paper sign-in sheets added up for grant reports.
After: Volunteers sign in on a tablet. Hours roll up by program automatically.
Client onboarding checklist
Before: New clients get a different experience depending on who answers.
After: One checklist with forms, ID upload and welcome email, every time.

We adjust it based on real use, not a long spec document.
We maintain it
Updates, fixes and improvements are part of your managed plan.
We build our own software too
Our team built and runs its own invoicing and billing system. We use the same practical approach for clients: build the smallest thing that solves the problem, then improve it.

This is part of our managed IT plans at $100, $150 or $200 per user per month, with one device per user included. See pricing.

About usMicroapps & Automation FAQ
Are microapps really included?
Yes. Microapps are included with our managed IT services. Small automations are covered by your monthly plan. If an idea grows into a larger software project, we give you a fixed quote before any work starts.
What does a microapp look like?
Usually a simple form, checklist or dashboard on your phone or computer that saves information to the right place and sends the right alerts.
Who owns it?
You do. It runs in your Microsoft 365 or on infrastructure we set up for you, and your data stays yours.
Can you connect to our existing software?
Often, yes. Many systems have exports, email notifications or APIs we can use. We will tell you honestly when something is not worth automating.
